About the role
- Contribute to and uphold quality assurance, project management, timekeeping, and invoicing activities
- Research, analyse, and interpret legal and obligations and guidelines relevant to Jersey’s financial services sector
- Draft, review, and deliver advisory reports in collaboration with senior colleagues
- Manage sensitive regulatory assignments and maintain high standards of discretion and confidentiality
- Build and maintain relationships with senior stakeholders, including regulators, counsel, and client teams
- Lead and support client engagements, managing clear communications and timely responses
- Assist with managing end-to-end eDiscovery processes, including data identification, preservation, collection, and analysis across a variety of platforms and physical devices, including onsite work where required
- Process, filter, and analyse large datasets using eDiscovery software, and execute keyword and saved searches to support case strategies
- Provide technical guidance and training to clients and internal teams, including preparing ‘how-to’ materials and facilitating training sessions
- Deliver technical insights to support legal teams during document review
Requirements
- 3–4 years’ relevant professional experience in the financial services sector, preferably with knowledge of Jersey's regulatory framework
- Some knowledge of regulatory consulting or compliance
- Undergraduate degree (or equivalent) in Business, Law, Finance, Economics, STEM, IT/Information Systems, or a related discipline
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience interpreting regulatory frameworks and control frameworks
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrable interest financial services regulation, technology and data analysis
- Experience working autonomously and collaboratively within multidisciplinary team environments
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office/365; comfortable with cloud platforms (Microsoft 365, Google Workspace)
- Proven ability to handle sensitive client projects with discretion and professionalism
- Experience engaging with senior stakeholders and/or regulators
- **Desirable Skills & Experience
- Experience with Jersey Financial Services Commission (JFSC) codes, AML/CFT frameworks, or international regulatory standards
- Experience in a consulting firm or fast-paced professional services environment
- Professional qualifications in Compliance, Digital Forensics or Project Management
- Familiarity with scripting or automation tools (e.g., Python, PowerShell)
- Exposure to regulatory technology (RegTech) platforms or digital transformation projects in compliance and risk
