About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Manage and review a large volume of plumbing work orders per day across multiple job sites (all residential)
  • Evaluate contractor reports, photos, and videos to verify diagnoses and scope accuracy
  • Spot incomplete or inaccurate bids and work with contractors to resolve before escalation
  • Provide technical direction to contractors—escalating quality concerns as needed
  • Ensure all relevant data, documentation, and system entries are accurate and complete
  • Act as the final internal QA before work is approved, scheduled, or billed
  • Use internal platforms and documentation tools to manage day-to-day activity efficiently
  • Collaborate with internal operations team to troubleshoot delays, material gaps, or job issues

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 3–5+ years of hands-on plumbing experience (residential strongly preferred)
  • Strong diagnostic instincts and ability to assess work from photos, videos, and contractor notes
  • Familiarity with common issues in residential plumbing (leaks, clogs, water heater failures, etc.)
  • Ability to spot sloppy fieldwork, challenge assumptions, and steer contractors to correct scope
  • Clear, confident verbal communication—you need to push back with precision, not aggression
  • Willingness to trade fieldwork for full-time remote employment
  • Fast learning curve with new software—this role relies on a custom internal platform, not off-the-shelf tools
  • Organized and comfortable managing dozens of open work orders simultaneously
  • Fluency in English (verbal and written); clear and concise communicator
