About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Design, build, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs powering our e-commerce workflows, ensuring consistency, performance, and correctness.
Design, build, and maintain end-to-end product features spanning across multiple services.
Collaborate with Product Managers, UX Designers, and engineers to translate business requirements into robust technical solutions.
Debug and resolve production issues across services and multiple levels of the stack.
Review peer code to ensure correctness, performance, maintainability, and knowledge sharing.
Write unit and integration tests and collaborate with QA engineers responsible for API and end-to-end test coverage.
Continuously improve engineering standards, tooling, and processes.
Mentor and support junior engineers on backend fundamentals and system design.
Contribute to scalable, reliable, and maintainable system architecture.

Requirements

What you’ll need

5+ years of experience in fullstack development, preferably in cloud-based environments
Strong proficiency in at least one server-side technology, such as NodeJS, Express, or NestJS
Proficiency in React and modern React technologies such as Redux, React Hook Form, React-query or RTK Query
Proven experience with Cloud Computing platforms like Amazon AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform
Experience designing and working with APIs and distributed systems
Solid understanding of software design principles, databases and data modelling
Hands-on experience building, deploying, and operating production systems.
