About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Administer health and retirement programs, including eligibility processing, payroll deductions, vendor data transmission, and coworker inquiries
- Research and resolve benefit-related issues with vendors, Payroll, and internal systems teams
- Audit eligibility files, payroll deductions, and vendor databases against internal HCM systems
- Monitor file transmissions and resolve interface discrepancies
- Support absence management by coordinating leave transactions with Coworker Relations and third-party administrators
- Prepare compliance documentation and support government filings, audits, and reporting
- Generate standard and ad hoc reports from HCM and vendor systems
- Support annual enrollment through system testing, data validation, communications, and post-enrollment audits
- Participate in vendor implementation and mandated plan update projects
- Recommend procedural improvements and update standard operating documentation
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or Business Administration, or equivalent experience
- Minimum 3 years of experience
- Minimum 2 years of hands-on benefits administration experience in a large, high-growth organization supporting health, wellness, and retirement plans
- Working knowledge of government regulations including Section 125, ERISA, COBRA, HIPAA, PPACA, DOL, and IRS requirements
- General knowledge of federally and state-mandated leaves including FMLA, CFRA, PDL, and ADA
- Knowledge of HRIS and payroll processes
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Ability to use an HCM system to create benefits reports and metrics
- Advanced Excel skills, including functions, formulas, and pivot tables
- Experience working with cross-functional teams
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and prioritization skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines accurately in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information professionally and discreetly
- Oracle experience desirable
- Experience with multi-state operations, EINs, and self-funded programs/plans a plus
