About the role
- Analyze sales, inventory, and market data to identify trends, opportunities, and risks
- Evaluate product performance and recommend changes to assortment, pricing, and placement
- Assess the impact of promotions and pricing strategies, providing actionable insights for future campaigns
- Support demand forecasting and inventory planning to ensure optimal stock levels and minimize markdowns
- Work with merchandising, planning, supply chain, and marketing teams to execute merchandising strategies
- Identify and implement process enhancements to improve efficiency and effectiveness in merchandising operations
- Present findings and recommendations to leadership and cross-functional partners in a clear, concise manner
- Monitor industry trends and competitor activity to inform merchandising decisions
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- Minimum 5 years of experience in retail merchandising, finance, accounting or marketing
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel, data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI), and data querying (e.g., SQL)
