About the role
- Act as point-of-contact throughout project process
- Align internal and/or subcontracted resources to accomplish the work
- Schedule and coordinate installation activities with sub-contractors and building resources
- Maintain complete and accurate record of the entire project including approved plans, budgets, and schedules
- Communicate project status throughout the sales process
- Conduct project completion walk-thru with installer and customer
- Monitor job-site throughout delivery and installation phases
- Ensure relevant equipment, policies, procedures, and strategies for effective operations
Requirements
- Bachelors degree or equivalent experience
- 3 – 5 years on-the-job application in construction or project management
- Minimum 5 years experience in related field
- Minimum 5 years experience in project management with 2 years in commercial furniture installation
- Project management, safety training, and/or LEED certification a plus
- Ability to navigate through AutoCAD drawings with various viewer software packages (e.g. TrueView)
- Analytical and problem solving skills
- Organizational and project management skills
- Working knowledge of preferred vendor products (e.g., Teknion)
- Ability to read and interpret floor plans, blueprints, and installation drawings
- Ability to develop and sustain productive customer relationships
- Ability to lead and engage a work team to deliver results and achieve project objectives in a timely manner
- Ability to identify project and sales opportunities to drive company revenue
- Ability to travel within a given market or geography 50-75%
- Must be able to work in all-weather conditions and in a safety sensitive work environment
- Must have a valid driver’s license and own transportation
- Familiarity with all phases of commercial furniture projects for scheduling purposes
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook · Microsoft PowerPoint and Project a plus
