About the role
- Conduct detailed actuarial analyses to assess risk, loss cost trends, and profitability
- Develop, enhance, and maintain sophisticated pricing models
- Lead the design and implementation of pricing strategies
- Provide actuarial support and insight on individual and large accounts
- Collaborate closely with underwriting, finance, claims, and operations
- Prepare and present clear, concise reports to senior management
- Mentor a small team of actuaries and/or analysts
- Ensure actuarial work adheres to applicable regulatory requirements
- Monitor market and industry trends
- Continuously improve actuarial processes, tools, and methodologies
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related quantitative field
- Minimum ACAS designation with at least 7 years of actuarial experience; 10+ years of experience is strongly preferred
- Minimum 5 years of experience in medical malpractice/healthcare liability
- Significant individual and large account pricing experience
- Proven expertise in actuarial modeling, risk assessment, and pricing strategies
- R programming experience preferred
- High proficiency with actuarial and statistical software
