- The VP of DoD will serve as a senior business development leader driving high-value opportunities across our federal customers. This role is a step above traditional business development—combining hands-on pursuit leadership with executive client engagement, strategic teaming, and market shaping responsibilities. You will lead the full business development lifecycle for complex, strategic bids while also shaping account growth strategies across the DoD market.
- What you’ll bring:
- Deep familiarity with DoD missions; knowledge of Air Force customer domains strongly preferred.
- 8+ years of directly related Capture and/or Business Development experience in federal contracting.
- Successful track record of full lifecycle prime business development wins, including unrestricted opportunities and opportunities valued at $100M+.
- Demonstrated experience leading teams and managing stakeholder engagement from qualification through award.
- Extensive proposal writing and management experience for both technical and business use cases.
- Strong presentation, writing, and communication skills, with proven executive-level engagement.
- Experience with IT initiatives including agile, cloud, IT modernization, cybersecurity, and data analytics.
- Understanding of federal acquisition strategies, contract vehicles, and budgeting processes, to include knowledge of the SBIR program.
- Knowledge of a variety of contract types including cost plus, fixed price, award fee, and performance-based contracting.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
