About the role

  • Design and maintain AWS cloud environments (including GovCloud-style regulated environments) using Infrastructure as Code.
  • Build and manage Terraform templates for provisioning and configuration.
  • Develop and optimize CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI).
  • Containerize and deploy applications with Docker; operate Kubernetes environments in AWS GovCloud (IL5/IL6 a plus)
  • Integrate automated security scanning and compliance controls directly into CI/CD pipelines.
  • Support government prototype development with rapid, secure iterations.
  • Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting for reliability and performance.
  • Automate vulnerability patching, security reporting, and compliance checks.
  • Automate compliance artifacts and evidence generation to support ATO readiness.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in DevSecOps, Cloud, or Site Reliability Engineering
  • Strong expertise in AWS services (ECS, Lambda, RDS, S3, IAM, VPC, CloudWatch)
  • Proficiency with Terraform and IaC practices
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD)
  • Hands-on with Docker and container deployments
  • Solid background in Linux administration and scripting (Python, Bash)
  • Knowledge of security frameworks (NIST, FedRAMP, HIPAA, RMF)
  • Familiarity with Kubernetes and container orchestration
  • Performs other related duties as assigned
