About the role
- Design and maintain AWS cloud environments (including GovCloud-style regulated environments) using Infrastructure as Code.
- Build and manage Terraform templates for provisioning and configuration.
- Develop and optimize CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI).
- Containerize and deploy applications with Docker; operate Kubernetes environments in AWS GovCloud (IL5/IL6 a plus)
- Integrate automated security scanning and compliance controls directly into CI/CD pipelines.
- Support government prototype development with rapid, secure iterations.
- Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting for reliability and performance.
- Automate vulnerability patching, security reporting, and compliance checks.
- Automate compliance artifacts and evidence generation to support ATO readiness.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in DevSecOps, Cloud, or Site Reliability Engineering
- Strong expertise in AWS services (ECS, Lambda, RDS, S3, IAM, VPC, CloudWatch)
- Proficiency with Terraform and IaC practices
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD)
- Hands-on with Docker and container deployments
- Solid background in Linux administration and scripting (Python, Bash)
- Knowledge of security frameworks (NIST, FedRAMP, HIPAA, RMF)
- Familiarity with Kubernetes and container orchestration
- Performs other related duties as assigned
