Senior Specialist – Process Automation, Market Processes in the Energy Sector

About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- You support the operational management of our balancing group management for electricity and gas and coordinate communication with market partners, service providers and internal teams.
- You monitor and coordinate clearing processes with grid operators and help systematically identify and resolve data discrepancies.
- You identify opportunities to improve existing processes and collaborate with Data, Tech and Operations teams to deliver scalable solutions.
- You contribute to energy-sector projects related to balancing, market communication and forecasting.
Requirements
What you’ll need- You hold a degree or an equivalent qualification with a focus on energy economics, business/economics, or analytics.
- Initial experience in the energy sector is an advantage.
- Knowledge of market communication (e.g., GPKE, GeLi Gas or MaBiS) is a plus but not required.
- You work in a structured, self-directed and solution-oriented manner.
- You enjoy understanding and further developing complex energy-sector processes.
- You have a strong affinity for data, processes and operational workflows.
- You communicate confidently in German and English and enjoy working with diverse stakeholders.
