Senior Accountant

About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Take responsibility for reviewing postings and challenging the status quo
- Be accountable for GOB (principles of proper accounting) and the accounting principles under HGB and IFRS
- Support the preparation of annual financial statements including consolidation and act as a point of contact for auditors and tax advisors
- Support the team in preparing monthly financial statements under IFRS
- Collaborate closely with colleagues in the UK and other countries to establish consistent approaches and processes
- Develop, document and optimize end-to-end accounting processes to contribute to improving the internal control system
Requirements
What you’ll need- Successfully completed degree in business administration or a related field
- Minimum of 3 years' professional experience in auditing (preferably at a Big Four firm) or comparable experience in an industrial company or the energy sector
- Excellent knowledge of ledger accounting and preparation of financial statements under IFRS and HGB
- Tech‑savvy and motivated to automate processes
- Team player with a hands-on mentality who enjoys sharing knowledge
- Committed to contributing to a more sustainable future and viewing the energy transition as essential
- Fluent in German and English
