About the role

  • Overall responsibility for Finance & Governance of the holding company and all subsidiaries
  • Ensure high-quality statutory and internal financial reporting and audit readiness
  • Build and maintain effective internal controls in compliance with German accounting and regulatory requirements
  • Lead Strategic Finance, including budgeting, forecasting, and cash-flow planning across all entities
  • Financial evaluation and support of investment decisions, business cases, and capital allocation (particularly infrastructure & scaling)
  • Trusted sparring partner for management and the CFO, providing sound financial perspective and constructively challenging decisions
  • End-to-end responsibility for accounting (monthly and annual financial statements, VAT prepayments, tax authorities, external audits)
  • Lead and scale the transactional finance function including AP/AR and upstream accounting processes
  • Ensure efficient, scalable processes and clean data flows in finance and reporting systems
  • Build, lead, and further develop high-performing finance teams in Berlin and Munich
  • Define clear roles, standards, and KPIs
  • Continuously optimize, automate, and simplify finance processes in close collaboration with Tech & Operations

Requirements

  • Several years of experience in senior finance roles within complex corporate structures
  • Very strong expertise in accounting, financial control, and statutory reporting
  • Leadership experience in Strategic Finance, FP&A, or Commercial Finance
  • Experience with capital-intensive or operational business models (e.g., energy, metering, industrial, services) is an advantage
  • Proven ability to scale finance organizations in parallel with rapid company growth
  • Highly structured, hands-on, and results-oriented
  • Ability to confidently switch between operational detail and strategic leadership perspectives
  • Decisive and resilient in dynamic environments with competing priorities
  • Clear, direct, and confident communication at the senior-management level
