About the role

  • Build Octopus’s story for Continuous Delivery at Scale and drive market leadership in the DevOps space
  • Own Go-To-Market (GTM) strategy and execution for enterprise segments and high-impact product launches end-to-end
  • Research how customers and target personas think about commercial vs. DIY options and share findings to shape GTM activities
  • Draft clear messaging that highlights Octopus’s business value for different enterprise audiences (decision makers, influencers, users)
  • Create marketing content (articles, videos, demos, press releases, case studies) with guidance from DevRel and Product teams
  • Partner with Digital and Field Marketing to deliver demand and lead generation campaigns and report on pipeline, win rates, and adoption
  • Collaborate with Product and Sales to incorporate customer insights into product roadmap updates and sales campaigns
  • Manage analyst and media briefings (e.g., Gartner, Forrester) to support vendor ratings and publicity opportunities
  • Work cross-functionally across Marketing, Product & Engineering, and Revenue teams

Requirements

  • Multiple years of experience in enterprise software product marketing, including SaaS products
  • Experience with several tier 1 launches
  • Experience positioning technical solutions that improve organizational productivity, ideally related to software development
  • Experience creating sales messages for enterprise sellers and account-based campaigns
  • Experience developing targeted communication and presenting solution value for specific personas
  • Experience developing go-to-market strategy (product, positioning, promotion, pricing) informed by market, competitive, and customer insights
  • Experience leading cross-functional projects and engaging with stakeholders across functions
  • Self-driven and able to work in a distributed environment, including flexible hours and global travel
  • Must be located on the US West Coast (PST/MST)
