About the role

  • Build Octopus’s story for Continuous Delivery at Scale and drive market leadership in the DevOps space
  • Win more enterprise business by effectively reaching and explaining the value of our solution to prospects and existing customers
  • Work closely with DevRel, Digital Marketing, Field Marketing, Product & Engineering, and Revenue teams on GTM strategy and execution
  • End-to-end ownership of high-impact product launches
  • Research and develop insights about how customers and personas think about commercial and DIY options to guide GTM strategy
  • Develop GTM strategies targeting central IT, business units, and individual teams within enterprises
  • Create messaging emphasizing business value (time, money, risk) to decision makers, influencers, and users
  • Create marketing materials (articles, videos, demos, press releases, case studies) independently and with support
  • Collaborate with Digital and Field Marketing to develop demand and lead generation campaigns and track success
  • Lead briefings with industry analysts (Gartner, Forrester) and media to influence vendor ratings and publicity opportunities

Requirements

  • Multiple years of experience in enterprise software product marketing, including SaaS products, through several tier 1 launches
  • Positioned technical solutions that improve productivity of organizations and business units, ideally related to software development
  • Created sales messages that enterprise sellers can use for their account-based campaigns
  • Developed targeted communication, including presenting the solution's value for specific personas
  • Developed go-to-market strategy (product, positioning, promotion, pricing) based on market, competitive, and customer insights
  • Led cross-functional projects, engaging with different stakeholders, and across key functions
  • Self-driven and able to work in a distributed environment, including working flexible hours and traveling to team meet-ups and industry events when required
