About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Manage product development projects (pre- and post-marketing) for drugs and drug/device combination products in the business units
- Propose, initiate, plan, monitor, document and close complex projects
- Apply XLPM project management standards
- Report progress, communicate risk and escalate issues to the Steering Group and executive management
- Coordinate and lead several multi-disciplinary, cross-functional project teams across Octapharma sites and with academia partners, CROs and C(D)MOs
- Integrate drug development at all stages by closely interacting with all internal and external stakeholders including scientists, engineers, manufacturers, clin-ops, regulatory managers and product managers, contributing with technical insights as required
- Stay current with industry trends, technologies, and best practices to drive innovation and maintain competitive advantage, and apply this knowledge to inform technical and scientific decision-making
- Support best practice sharing between project management groups within the organization
Requirements
What you’ll need- University degree (MSc, PhD, or equivalent) in natural sciences
- min. 1.5 years of relevant experience in biotech or pharmaceutical company
- Experience in project management (PM certification/qualification is a plus)
- Proficiency with digital tools and technologies
- Interpersonal and leadership skills to build credibility and influence experts and functional leaders
- Communication skills to set objectives and promote a strong team culture with open discussion
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Willingness to travel (5-10 %)
- Fluent English (oral and written), German is a plus
