About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Serve as the Lead Assessor on CMMC Level 2 certification assessments
- Lead scoping, pre-assessment readiness reviews, and finalization of the assessment plan
- Direct evidence collection and validation across all 110 NIST SP 800-171 Rev 2 security requirements
- Make and defend final determinations for each requirement
- Assign and supervise the work of Certified CMMC Assessors (CCAs)
- Author and review the final assessment report
- Serve as the primary point of contact with the OSC
- Ensure all assessment activities comply with the Cyber AB Code of Professional Conduct
Requirements
What you’ll need- Must be a U.S. Citizen.
- Active Lead Certified CMMC Assessor (LCCA) certification in good standing
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a favorable Tier 3 background investigation
- Bachelor’s degree in cybersecurity, information technology, information systems, or a related field
- Typically 7+ years of cybersecurity or information assurance experience
- In-depth knowledge of NIST SP 800-171 Rev 2
- Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISA, CCP, or equivalent strongly preferred.
- Strong leadership, assessment report writing, and client-facing communication skills.
- Location / on-site: Remote-eligible with availability to travel to client sites
