About the role

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) from a university accredited by the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE)
  • No work experience required
  • Certified Social Worker (CSW) as verified by the LABSWE OR Registered Social Worker (RSW) certificate
  • Computer skills and dexterity for data entry and retrieval
  • Proficiency with Windows-style applications, keyboard, and role-specific software packages
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Working knowledge of common disease entities, disorders, and medical terminology
  • Working knowledge of acute and chronic care medical settings
  • Knowledge of healthcare systems and public programs including Medicare, Medicaid, Medicare Advantage, and commercial insurance plans
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including 24/7, weekends, holidays, and on-call availability
  • Ability to sit and stand for prolonged periods
  • Ability to travel throughout and between facilities
  • Ability to meet Medium Work physical demands and use mechanical lifting devices or team lifts
  • Ability to work in a healthcare environment with potential exposure to communicable diseases, hazardous medications, or hazardous waste
