Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Registered Nurse Diploma
  • Current RN license in the state of practice
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association
  • Computer skills and dexterity for patient-information data entry and retrieval
  • Proficiency with Windows-style applications and role-specific software packages
  • Keyboard proficiency
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to present information clearly and professionally to varying levels of individuals
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Ability to frequently exert 10–20 pounds of force and occasionally up to 100 pounds of force
  • Ability to work in an environment with potential occupational exposure to hazardous medications or hazardous waste
