About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Assess patients and safely prepare for interventional procedures
Scrub into interventional procedures
Provide care in accordance with prescribed radiation safety procedures and protocols
Lead departmental programs and act as a clinical mentor for junior staff and students
Assume routine supervisory duties in the absence of the team leader

Independently operate equipment to complete imaging procedures
Review patient images prior to transmission to ensure diagnostic quality standards

Requirements

What you’ll need

Completion of a formal training program and Radiologic Technology training program
5 years experience in Interventional Radiology
Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT)
Licensed by the Radiology Technology Board of Examiners in the state of practice
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association
Advanced certification in Vascular Interventional Radiology
Effective verbal and written communication skills
Must be proficient with Windows-style applications, various software packages specific to role and keyboard
Strong understanding of sterile technique.
