Central Pricing Office Specialist – Call Center
Ochsner HealthCentral Pricing Office Specialist ensuring price transparency for network physicians and patients at Ochsner Health. Handling inquiries and assisting with education regarding pricing issues.
About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Acts as a liaison between the Chargemaster and the physicians/patients.
- Answers patient and physician inquiries regarding pricing questions and provides accurate estimates.
- Assists with pricing transparency and education to explain the process to physicians and patients.
- Works with the Epic team in establishing rules and creation of estimate templates.
- Utilizes appropriate coding guidelines to assign ICD-10 and CPT codes.
Requirements
What you’ll need- High School diploma or equivalent
- 4 years direct healthcare experience, OR 3 years direct healthcare experience with a Bachelor’s degree, OR 2 years direct healthcare experience with a Master’s degree
- Knowledge of medical terminology utilized in medical billing including CPT HCPCS and ICD9 & ICD10
- Working knowledge of public and private sources of assistance and methods of qualifying for funding
- Established knowledge and skills with Epic is preferred.
