About the role

  • Guides accounting staff and provides training
  • Participates in the budget process by budgeting various general ledger expense accounts
  • Maintains the departmental budgeting and reporting system
  • Produces monthly departmental financial statements
  • Acts as a liaison between department directors and financial departments
  • Analyzes assigned accounts or specific entity's income statements
  • Prepares journal entries and account reconciliations
  • Implements and maintains accounting control procedures
  • Assists with financial audit preparation and coordination of the annual audit process
  • Participates in special financial projects and composes various ad hoc financial reports as required by management

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or related field
  • 3 years of related experience
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in using computers, software, and web-based applications
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and time management skills
  • Ability to travel throughout and between facility locations and work various hours, such as nights, weekends, etc.
