This job analyzes and modifies programming systems including encoding, testing, debugging and installing to support an organization's application systems.
Consults with users to identify current operating procedures and to clarify program objectives.
Maintains knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field, and relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.
Performs analysis of assigned applications and business processes/functions.
Modifies and supports assigned applications/systems as appropriate.
Partners and communicates with assigned customer/end users.
Maintains and enhances professional competencies and industry knowledge.
Adapts behavior to the specific patient population, including but not limited to respect for privacy, method of introduction to the patient, adapting explanation of services or procedures to be performed, requesting permissions and communication style.
Performs other related duties as required.
Requirements
Education Required - High school diploma or equivalent.
Preferred - Bachelor's degree.
Required - 2 years of related experience.
Preferred - Programming experience.
Proficiency in using computers, software, and web-based applications.
Ability to work with databases, online solutions and the programming languages commonly used at the company's information services department.
Effective verbal and written communication skills and ability to present information clearly and professionally to varying levels of individuals throughout the patient care process.
Ability to work under stressful situations with frequent interruptions and changes in priorities.
Ability to travel throughout and between facilities and work a flexible schedule (e.g. weekend, holiday, on call availability).
