About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

support and lead OCHIN’s multi-state-level legislative and regulatory advocacy efforts
develop and execute advocacy strategies
build relationships with policymakers
represent OCHIN across multiple states
track, analyze, and influence state legislation and regulations
draft testimony, comment letters, and policy/data briefs
represent OCHIN in hearings, workgroups, and advocacy forums

Requirements

What you’ll need

Candidates must be located on the West Coast and live with 1-hour maximum travel time to a major airport
Qualified candidate must have government health care experience with multiple states
Minimum of 5 years of multi-state government relations experience required
Experience executing multi-state government health care legislative initiatives required
Demonstrated success influencing state policy outcomes
Bachelor’s degree preferred
Experience /working knowledge in health information technology highly preferred
Experience with community health centers and/or rural hospitals highly preferred
Strong writing and advocacy skills
Skilled at producing high-quality advocacy materials to support state advocacy and member engagement.
