About the role
- Partner with clinical leadership, pharmacy teams, and OCHIN members to align strategy, optimize workflows, and provide subject matter expertise in pharmacy operations and Epic Willow.
- Perform complex builds, configurations, and testing in Epic Willow, Orders and related products to support clinical workflows, regulatory compliance, and system optimization.
- Provide training, mentorship, and ongoing support to pharmacy staff, provider builders, and new members before, during, and after implementation or system updates.
- Identify, analyze, and resolve technical issues; collaborate with cross-functional teams to address integration challenges and ensure smooth system performance.
- Develop and maintain system documentation, policies, user guides, and Clinical Decision Support (CDS) content; share workflow best practices and contribute to clinical content review.
- Generate reports, analyze data to support decision-making, and ensure Epic Willow remains compliant with pharmacy regulations, best practices, and organizational standards.
Requirements
- Clinical degree or equivalent relevant combination of education and experience preferred.
- PhD and licensure (PharmD) preferred.
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience in acute care pharmacy operations with strong understanding of pharmacy operations and workflows preferred.
- Substantial applied informatics background required - 3+ years' experience and/or substantial contribution to OCHIN or the field related to medication use processes, clinical decision support, and pharmacy information systems preferred.
- Epic Willow Inpatient certification and experience required.
- Knowledge of the Epic Willow pharmacy information system and Epic Orders including configuration and maintenance is required.
- Working knowledge of Epic Beacon preferred for oversight of medication build strategies.
- Previous experience with Critical Access Hospitals is highly desired.
- Previous experience with 340b Drug Pricing Program is desired.
