About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Responsible for monitoring the OCC production environment
  • Reviewing processes and procedures throughout the Production environment
  • Driving improvements throughout
  • Ensure Production runs efficiently
  • Act as a technical liaison to teams to ensure operational readiness
  • Document issues impacting the business
  • Follow best practices as per policy
  • Perform first-level Incident identification and resolution
  • Monitor applications and systems using OCC approved software
  • Escalate Production Incidents to Second-Level support
  • Support transmissions across SFTP/NDM
  • Provide first-level support for Production Installs, D/R and Industry tests
  • Maintain processing records and logs
  • Report and document any processing anomalies using OCC approved software
  • Identifies and diagnoses complex problems and factors affecting Production performance
  • Troubleshoot hardware and software problems

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Strong Operational understanding and 3 years of experience
  • Good consultative, communication, analytical, and judgment skills
  • Good time management skills
  • Ability to work well with clients, other systems technical staff, consultants and vendors
  • Basic knowledge of ITIL principles
  • Strong knowledge of Scheduling applications / tools (UC4 / Control M)
  • Basic understanding of Network
  • Basic understanding of Unix / Linux
  • Basic understanding Windows
  • Basic understanding Storage
  • Mature understanding of Cloud computing (AWS)
  • Mature understanding of Cloud computing tools
  • Basic knowledge of IBM JCL
  • Understands technical monitoring and metrics
  • Sophisticated understanding of enterprising technology
  • Mature understanding of the relationship between software and hardware
  • Basic Knowledge of Application life cycle and deployment
  • Knowledge of MQ (stop / start / recycle)
  • Problem/Incident management applications and tools experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Information Systems or a related discipline
  • 3+ years working in a multi-platform environment including Windows, Linux/Unix and Storage.
  • Strong network knowledge heavily favored.
  • 3+ years working knowledge of an open systems scheduling product (UC4).
  • 3+ years work knowledge of cloud environment
  • Some knowledge of cloud environment
