• Design AI-powered support systems that reduce ticket volume by 80%+ before reaching a human
• Use Obvious to build Obvious support (for example: we have an Obvious project that reads our GitHub repo and writes help articles automatically)
• Fix bugs and solve product issues using Obvious without writing code or waiting for engineering
• Create AI agents that handle common support scenarios end-to-end
• Work embedded with product and engineering—influence what gets built based on support insights
• Own the entire support experience: strategy, tooling, processes, metrics, help center, knowledge base, community
• Establish an AI-powered support culture that scales with a human element
• Demonstrate capability through creation: use Obvious to build something for support during the interview (prototype + presentation)
• Set the standard for how AI transforms support

Founding Customer Support Engineer

Product Designer

• Design the core Obvious experience—from first wireframes to pixel‑perfect interfaces that millions will use.
• Obsess over detail—partner across the team to refine performance, interactions, and craft.
• Build our design community—use your social presence to share insights, grow the brand, and attract top creators.
• Drive growth—design landing pages, marketing assets, and conversion funnels; do what it takes to move the needle. Our brand team is super keen to jam on ideas for how to best showcase your work!
• Ship code—ideally you’re comfortable with coding agents and using tools like Cursor and v0. If not, we’ll get you there fast.
• Wear all the hats—own problems end‑to‑end, including the ones we haven’t thought of yet.
