About the role
- Contribute to developing the seasonal product line plan and category matrix in line with the brand’s strategic direction
- Contribute to defining and delivering detailed product briefs (features, design, functionality, target costs, and quality standards) to guide Design and Product Development teams
- Support the translation of the brand’s financial objectives into a concrete category business plan, including product concepts, price positioning, and sales potential
- Collect and analyze market, sales, and consumer feedback to support line planning and continuous product improvement
- Analyze competitors, pricing strategies, and market trends to identify opportunities and support future product direction
- Work closely with Design and Development teams throughout the product creation process, ensuring alignment with product briefs and key milestones
- Collaborate with Marketing to define product storytelling and support communication with relevant product insights and technical information
- Present product concepts and features during sales meetings and internal training to ensure strong product knowledge across teams
- Monitor product costs and margins to support category profitability and business targets
- Support product lifecycle management, driving continuous improvement based on performance analysis (sell-in and sell-out)
Requirements
- Degree in Economics, Marketing, Communication, Industrial/Product Design or comparable education
- 5+ years of experience in a Product Management role preferably within the sporting goods or outdoor industry
- Strong understanding of the product creation process and product lifecycle
- Financial acumen with understanding of sales performance, margins, and merchandising dynamics
- Analytical skills with the ability to interpret sell-through data and product performance
- Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
- Planning and organizational skills
- Very good English skills; Italian or German is a plus
- Availability to travel internationally
