About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Participating in month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities
- Preparing and posting journal entries
- Assisting with the preparation of financial statements and reports
- Reconciling balance sheet accounts and resolving discrepancies
- Performing monthly bank reconciliations
- Reconciling corporate credit card activity
- Reviewing operating expenses and accounts payable transactions
- Reviewing employee expense reports for compliance with company policies and IRS regulations
- Supporting annual financial statement audits by preparing schedules, reports, and documentation
- Researching and applying Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Responding to accounting-related procedural questions
- Maintaining strong internal controls and safeguarding financial integrity
- Supporting additional accounting initiatives and projects as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in Accounting from an accredited college or university
- Minimum of 2 years of financial accounting experience
- Knowledge of GAAP and financial accounting principles
- Experience using accounting software and Microsoft Office applications
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
