About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- The program is designed for motivated licensed nurses who are looking to grow into a Health Services Director leadership role with Oakmont.
- Individuals in the program are trained by department heads at the community level and gain a comprehensive understanding of how to manage a team as a Health Services Director.
- Once they have completed department training, they are placed at a community and work under a current Health Services Director to gain on-the-job experience.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age
- Candidates from Oakmont will need to have a minimum of six months in their current position.
- Prefer two (2) years experience as a Licensed Nurse; one (1) years experience working in a Residential Care Facility for the Elderly (RCFE).
- All candidates will need to have a California LVN or RN License in good standing.
- Must be willing to travel throughout the state during the training process and must be open to relocation for a permanent position.
- Demonstrated interest in clinical leadership; prior experience coaching or mentoring peers preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills with a passion for serving older adults.
- Able to work with seniors and patiently interact with cognitively impaired individuals.
- Proficient in basic computer systems and ability to learn electronic health records and other Company tools.
- Able to adapt and respond to change, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively.
- Must be coachable, highly motivated, and able to work both independently and collaboratively.
- Able to obtain and maintain valid First Aid and CPR, as needed.
- Must pass a Criminal Background Check and Health Screening tests.
