Perform a wide range of bookkeeping and accounting support duties following established procedures
Register, process, and maintain client service accounts with accuracy and confidentiality
Prepare moderately complex financial statements, reports, and budget documents
Process all incoming and outgoing funds, regardless of complexity
Work directly with clients to collect payments related to court costs, utility bills, taxes, and other fees
Establish or adjust payment schedules to support clients in meeting their obligations
Handle customer interactions requiring professionalism, sensitivity, and sound independent judgment
Use Countywide and department-specific software systems to complete assignments and maintain accurate financial records
Requirements
Must be a high school graduate or have a certificate of successful completion of the General Educational Development Test.
Have had three (3) years of full-time work experience which involved basic accounting or bookkeeping principles or related clerical experience.
Coursework at an accredited college or university in a business curriculum which included accounting classes may substitute for up to two (2) years of the experience listed above.
