About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Assist with entering and maintaining litigation deadlines in the firm’s docketing/calendaring system – CourtAlert across multiple offices
- Assist with updating case information, attorney assignments, and case lists
- Help prepare reports and deadline summaries
- Review pleadings, notices, and orders to identify deadlines
- Organize and distribute information relating to court calls
- Support training efforts by documenting procedures and workflows
- Drafting, editing, and filing pleadings and discovery with State and Federal Courts and Administrative Agencies
- Scheduling meetings and conference calls
- Copying, scanning, and saving documents to file
Requirements
What you’ll need- 1-3 years of legal experience
- Background in docketing or litigation support and administration
- Professional communication skills (written, verbal and interpersonal)
- Strong understanding of the litigation process as well as Federal, State and Local court rules and procedures
- Excellent computer skills with knowledge of Adobe Acrobat, MS Excel, and MS Office, including Outlook
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Organizational skills
- Experience with CourtAlert or other docketing programs is a plus
