About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Prepare and review journal entries, accruals, and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Perform and review intercompany reconciliations across multiple entities.
  • Record and reconcile commission accruals and commission payments.
  • Support the month-end close process to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
  • Prepare monthly variance and flux analyses to support financial review and decision-making.
  • Ensure financial records, reconciliations, and documentation are accurate and GAAP-compliant.
  • Assist with consolidation activities and regional financial reporting.
  • Apply GAAP in day-to-day accounting activities and support adherence to corporate accounting policies.
  • Assist with internal and external audits, including responding to audit requests and documentation needs.
  • Support tax-related processes and compliance initiatives as required.
  • Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, controls, and efficiencies.
  • Support ERP system enhancements, implementations, and onboarding of new entities.
  • Maintain and update standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Collaborate with FP&A, AR, AP, Collections, Sales, and Corporate Accounting teams to support accurate financial reporting.
  • Provide guidance and support to Staff Accountants and assist with mentoring and development.
  • Support Regional Finance Management with job reviews, cash flow analysis, and ad hoc reporting.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or other related equivalent; CPA designation preferred with strong knowledge of GAAP/IFRS and financial compliance.
  • Three to six (3–6) years of progressive accounting experience.
  • Proven financial project management skills, including cost analysis, forecasting, and strategic planning.
  • Experience optimizing financial systems and streamlining accounting processes.
  • People management expertise, with a track record of coaching and developing accounting professionals and teams.
  • Exceptional skills in financial software and reporting tools (ERP systems such as NetSuite, Adaptive, Excel, financial modeling).
