About the role
- Lead the end-to-end development and submission of grant applications, with a primary focus on NIH R01 grants
- Independently shape grant content, including specific aims, study design, methodology, and work plans
- Work directly with internal scientists and US-based academic and clinical partners to define and align the scientific scope
- Assess funding opportunities and drive early-stage grant development
- Manage grant timelines, inputs, and submission processes with a high level of autonomy
- Ensure full compliance with call requirements, formats, and review criteria
- Coordinate responses to reviewer comments and resubmissions where applicable
- Maintain clear, structured project communication across stakeholders
Requirements
- PhD in medical physics, biomedical imaging, or a closely related field
- Hands-on research experience with hyperpolarized MRI (HP MRI) is mandatory
- Strong understanding of medical imaging and translational applications
- Proven experience contributing to or leading NIH R01 grant applications
- In-depth knowledge of the US research funding system, particularly NIH processes
- Proven ability to work independently while collaborating closely with external partners
- Strong project management and excellent written and spoken communication skills in English
