About the role

  • Drive New Business: Proactively identify, qualify, and close new opportunities in local government and commercial sectors
  • Expand Existing Accounts: Deepen relationships with current clients to uncover additional needs and upsell solutions
  • Deliver Value: Articulate the business impact of geospatial technologies and tailor solutions to client challenges
  • Lead Proposals: Collaborate with our Bid & Proposal and Operations teams to craft winning proposals and accurate estimates
  • Be a Thought Leader: Represent our brand at industry events, contribute to blogs and forums, and stay ahead of GIS trends
  • Report & Forecast: Maintain a healthy pipeline and provide accurate sales forecasts using CRM tools

Requirements

  • Proven success in selling technical or professional services, ideally within the GIS or geospatial domain
  • Strong understanding of Esri technologies and their application in local government and commercial environments
  • Ability to engage decision-makers, build trust, and close complex deals
  • Consultative mindset with a knack for solving business problems through technology
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and organizational skills
  • Experience with CRM systems and sales pipeline management
  • Preferred: Established network of contacts in State & Local Government
  • Preferred: History of exceeding sales quotas in a technical services environment
  • Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Geography, GIS, or related field (or equivalent experience)
