About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Proactively identify, qualify, and close new opportunities across public‑use civil airports, including commercial service and general aviation.
  • Deepen relationships with current direct clients and AEC partners to uncover additional needs and upsell solutions.
  • Articulate the business impact of geospatial technologies and tailor solutions to general aviation challenges.
  • Collaborate with our Bid & Proposal and Operations teams to craft accurate and competitive estimates and winning proposals.
  • Represent NV5 at industry events, contribute to blogs and forums, and stay ahead of geospatial trends.
  • Maintain a healthy pipeline and provide accurate sales forecasts using CRM.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 10+ years of sales and/or influencing sales role and demonstrated experience in selling into the aviation market.
  • Knowledge of the aviation industry, geospatial mapping and GIS software pertinent to FAA Part 77 airspace and obstruction protection requirements.
  • Knowledge of aviation industry budgeting and procurement cycles.
  • Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in aviation, business, marketing, geography/GIS, or related field.
  • Demonstrated experience with leading high-level/executive engagements to provide services and solutions in the aviation market.
  • Demonstrated experience in coordinating, prospecting, proposing, and winning contracts.
  • Demonstrated experience with strong partnerships and advocacy with clients.
  • Experience developing and implementing go-to-market strategies for new products or solutions.
