About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Preparation of drainage studies, hydromodification analysis, detention basin analysis, and assisting in preparation of design plans for civil engineering projects
- Performing third-party reviews of other consultants' drainage and water quality reports, and SWPPPs
- Hydrologic and hydraulic analysis using programs such as AES, CivilDesign, HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, SWMM, WSPG, and StormCAD
- Preparation of letter proposals, attending client meetings, and assisting the team with business development opportunities
- Preparation of FEMA Letters of Map Revision (CLOMRs/LOMRs)
- Preparation/Review of Storm Water Quality Management Plans (SWQMPs)
- Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP) preparation/review
Requirements
What you’ll need- Possess a Bachelor’s or higher Degree in Civil Engineering
- PE license in California
- 3+ years preparing Drainage Reports in Southern California
- Strong knowledge of both County and City of San Diego hydrologic and hydraulic requirements for development projects
- Understand current hydromodification requirements under current County of San Diego MS4 permit
- Experienced in Rational Method calculation and basin routing calculations
- Knowledge of AutoCAD, Bluebeam, ArcGIS, HEC programs, PondPack, and SWMM is desired
- Floodplain Manager Certification by ASFPM (preferred)
