About the role

  • Nutrafol is seeking an inquisitive, data-driven, and entrepreneurial Finance Associate - FP&A who will be responsible for analyzing and leveraging data to support strategic and financial decision-making across a dynamic and fluid organization.
  • As a key member of the finance team, you will enhance Nutrafol’s operating model, analyze capital allocation decisions, and provide ongoing guidance to the Nutrafol executive team.

  • Own, maintain, and enhance company financial and operating models: adapting and making improvements according to changing business needs, as well as providing insights informed by them
  • Support annual budget and ongoing forecasting processes.
  • Provide monthly financial variance analysis and run budget/operational review meetings with department heads
  • Provide strategic guidance using analytics initiatives such as business/economic/financial modeling and analysis based on multiple data sources
  • Work closely with department leads to provide analytical support, assist with optimizing resource allocation, and proactively identify operational improvements
  • Use Tableau and QuickBooks to mine and analyze data in order to provide leadership with learnings and recommendations

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience in financial analytical roles that involve budgeting/planning, financial modeling, and decision analytics (for example: corporate finance, investment banking, venture capital, management consulting, private equity)
  • Experience working within a high-growth eCommerce/CPG company (inventory-based business); start-up or recurring revenue-based business experience is a plus
  • Advanced Excel skills with proficiency in managing large data sets, building and maintaining complex models; ability to create three-statement financial models.
  • Knowledge of Quickbooks or MS Dynamics is required
  • Hands-on experience solving big, fuzzy problems with complex data sets
