About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Own and execute the local marketing strategy for assigned market, translating national brand priorities into culturally relevant, high-impact local programs
  • Plan, manage, and optimize field marketing, sampling, and experiential activations at key moments in local culture (events, campuses, retail, fitness, nightlife, community)
  • Lead, coach, and manage Field Marketing Managers and Brand Ambassadors, ensuring best-in-class execution, professionalism, and brand representation
  • Build and manage local partnerships with retailers, gyms, colleges, events, talent, athletes, and influencers to drive awareness and trial
  • Serve as the local market expert and brand voice, providing insights on culture, trends, competitors, and opportunities unique to the region
  • Partner closely with Sales, DSD partners, and Retail Marketing to support launches, promotions, and in-store execution that drive velocity
  • Oversee budget management, resource allocation, and vendor coordination to maximize impact and efficiency
  • Track, analyze, and report on key KPIs (events executed, samples distributed, impressions, household penetration indicators, velocity drivers)
  • Identify what’s working locally and optimize or pivot strategies to improve performance and scale best practices across markets
  • Ensure all activations and partnerships are on-brand, compliant, and operationally sound

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, PR or related field
  • 3-5 years of experience in marketing and/or event planning
  • Experience working with Beverage DSD’s and/or distribution partners
  • Has demonstrated leadership ability
  • Experience managing and developing field or local marketing teams (hiring, coaching, performance management)
  • Experience partnering cross-functionally with Sales, Retail Marketing, Influencer/Talent, and Brand teams
  • Strong budget ownership experience, including forecasting, spend tracking, and ROI optimization
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Is extremely organized and can juggle multiple, competing priorities
  • Ability to carry 50lbs+ and meet physical demands of the job
