About the role

  • Manage and ensure the timely and accurate end-to-end payroll processing activities for employees located in assigned locations.
  • Day to day activities include the following and not limited to:
  • Prepare and process monthly / Semi-monthly end to end (on and off cycle) payroll processing for direct hire and PEO/EOR employees via third-party vendors and payroll platform.
  • Proactive in collating payroll inputs and submitting updates to third-party vendors with effective instructions and within the required timelines.
  • Complete variance analysis and substantiating it with supporting reasons.
  • Perform manual tax calculations and review of withholding taxes to ensure accuracy of net payments.
  • Prepare payroll approval requisition and creating of payment instructions and upload of payment file in banking portals.
  • Ensure all required statutory/third-party payments, filings, and insurance renewals are delivered within the required due dates.
  • Performs periodic review of leave taken and accrual records.
  • Collaborate and build rapport with the Global People & Culture Team and cross-functional team to ensure all data necessary for payroll processing are received within the cut-off and be able contribute towards creating a more efficient and streamlined process.
  • Reviews and re-engineers existing operations systems, processes, and procedures to streamline last pay processes and implementing improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Ensuring all assigned matters are SOX-compliant and adheres to internal controls and company policies, respective payroll country regulations, and other statutory obligations.
  • Act as primary point of contact for designated payroll mailboxes, ensuring all employee and stakeholder queries are address promptly and resolved with the required SLAs.
  • Prepare and distribute Year-End forms in accordance with the statutory reporting due date per country guidelines.
  • Develop deeper knowledge on current legislation requirements with awareness on the changes which may impact Payroll processing and ensure procedural documentations are updated accordingly.
  • Provide support to the People & Culture team as required or when processing volume increases.

Requirements

  • Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor’s/College Degree, preferably Human Resources, Business Administration or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 3+ years’ experience in end-to-end payroll processing for one or more of the following regions: UK, Singapore, Philippines and or Germany.
  • Experience with multiple Payroll Services, deel and Hi-Bob will be advantageous.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications with intermediate Microsoft Excel skills.
  • An enthusiastic team-player with the ability to work independently, proactive in putting ideas into practice and proven record of diligence and accountability.
  • Ability to adapt to fast change and effectively deal with change management initiatives.
  • An analytical mindset who enjoys problem-solving and with the ability to pro-actively identify and determine root causes of problems.
  • Strong numerical aptitude and attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion and care.
