Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering/Architectural Engineering from an ABET Accredited school.
Proficient verbal and written communication in the English language.
Strong knowledge of structural building codes: IBC, AISC 360, AISC 341, AISC 358, ASCE7, AISI, etc.
Professional Engineer (P.E.) registration in the United States with the ability to be licensed in other states as needed.
Resides within the continental United States, availability as followed: - Minimum 8 consecutive hours - Available from 9 am to 3 pm CST
Ability to travel to home division or job sites as needed. (<10% travel)
Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the US (Nucor will not sponsor the need for a visa now or in the future).
Preferred Qualifications: A background in Engineering in the Pre-Engineered Metal Building Industry.
Proficiency with some type of metal building design software package.
Resides within the Midwest.
