About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Acting as a trusted partner with business operations and production processes
Provide mentorship to IT infrastructure and Application Support Analyst peers
Project oversight including managing deliverables, cross-functional collaboration with all business groups, and strong financial awareness, including monitoring project costs and keeping the team on track with budget expectations
Guiding IT initiatives that support modernization, ensuring alignment with organizational strategy
Windows server and Linux server administration
The implementation/installation, maintenance/troubleshooting, licensing of software/applications, and hardware maintenance agreements and contracts
Translating business needs into technical solutions and keeping leadership informed about risks, progress, and resource needs
Managing virtual cloud platforms such as VMWare Environments, Virtual Private Cloud, and/or Azure Computing, including storage, network, full VMs, and container applications
Managing and supporting access control and camera system solutions
Active Directory, Certificates, DNS, DHCP, File Shares, SMTP, IIS Entra ID O365 administration, SharePoint
Backup, testing, and recovery including updating and maintaining the disaster recovery plan
Project Management in Agile framework including overseeing contractor responsibilities and duties
SQL and Oracle database management
Assisting with network and security administration
Identify opportunities for system upgrades and improvements, and contribute to solution recommendations
Approaches initiatives and software implementations with an enterprise-wide mindset, ensuring solutions align with broader business needs, standards, and longterm scalability
Perform other duties as assigned
Work a rotational on-call IT support schedule to include evenings and weekends as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need

5+ years of experience in IT infrastructure and application support/management
Technical knowledge of hardware, software and network infrastructure
Experience with project management and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Professional demeanor with a high degree of flexibility, responsiveness, and self-direction
Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field (preferred)
Ability to analyze, identify and solve complex problems
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
Displays responsibility, reliability, is committed to fulfilling work obligations and can hold others accountable for desired results
Ability to work efficiently with minimal oversight
Advanced experience with data center design including environmental control requirements (preferred)
Advanced experience with network architecture design (preferred)
Advanced experience with IIS Administration and/or SharePoint Administration (preferred)
Advanced experience with Cohesity/Veeam systems (preferred)
Advanced experience with configuring and managing server environments (preferred)
Scripting experience, including but not limited to PowerShell and Python (preferred)
Project management experience (preferred)
Manufacturing-related IT experience, with a preference for process-related industries (preferred)
