About the role

  • Own the division’s overall financial strategy, to include forecasting, working capital management, and capital allocation.
  • Oversee all financial reporting functions, including accounting close, internal controls, and GAAP and Corporate policy compliance.
  • Understand, monitor, and effectively communicate KPI’s throughout the business to create actionable business insights that drive outcomes.
  • Develop and implement processes and workflows to maximize resources using technology and systems.
  • Provide legal oversight and support through use of internal and third-party legal resources for commercial activities, purchasing contracts, and all other legal activities within the business.
  • Provide oversight for shared service IT functions to ensure division security, teammate support, and technology advancement to support division strategies.
  • Lead division talent strategy, including talent acquisition and teammate growth and development.
  • Ensure consistent application and administration of HR policies.
  • Lead, nurture and advance the Nucor culture.
  • Coach and develop other leaders and high performing teammates.
  • Actively participate and drive the division’s safety efforts.
  • Actively participate in the development and execution of the overall business strategy to support long-term profitable growth.
  • Build strong cross-functional partnerships to lead across the business.

Requirements

  • Advanced degree in an applicable field, CPA, CMA or MBA
  • At least 3 years of work experience in financial related leadership positions
  • Prior leadership experience in a manufacturing business
  • Prior leadership of HR department
  • Knowledge and competency in contract language
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Experience utilizing AI tools to drive efficiencies in business functions
  • Willingness to relocate for future leadership opportunities
