About the role

  • Lead and supervise the Design Engineer and Shop Order Team
  • Provide mentoring, coaching and accountability through performance appraisals to the team
  • Assure consistent application of current design policies, procedures and practices
  • Monitor and report weekly payroll information, tracking and coordinating vacation
  • Oversee and manage individual work schedules and the production schedule
  • Provide 'World Class' service, meeting customer needs quickly and effectively
  • Partner with the Division Leadership team to drive continuous improvement
  • Support Business Development through customer and specifier interactions promoting Nucor’s value proposition and cultivating deeper partnerships

Requirements

  • Have a minimum of a B.S. Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
  • Registered PE or Passed PE Exam and Completing PE Experience Requirement
  • Prior Leadership Experience
  • Joist and Deck, Metal Buildings or Structural Steel Design and/or Detailing Experience
  • Willing to relocate for future advancement opportunities
