About the role

  • Lead the sales and marketing efforts for The Nucor Plate Group in the South Texas and Louisiana territory
  • Quoting and securing business: spot and contract
  • Providing forecasts and recommending new business and customers

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field (e.g., Business Administration, Marketing, or a related discipline)
  • Proven experience in steel plate sales or a related industrial sales environment
  • Frequent travel required, approximately 50–75% of the time
  • Must be able to travel by car and airplane as needed
  • Regular exposure to heavy manufacturing and industrial environments, including steel mill operations
  • Presence in areas with high temperatures, loud noise, dust, and moving machinery
  • Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) such as hard hats, safety glasses, and steel-toed boots may be necessary during site visits
