About the role
- Draft, negotiate, and manage contracts with customers, vendors, etc.
- Ensure all contractual agreements comply with internal policies and legal requirements
- Monitor contract performance and enforce compliance with contractual terms
- Identify potential risks and implement mitigation strategies in the contract process
- Review and negotiate Non-Disclosure Agreements
- Working knowledge of lien and bond rights (in multiple states)
- Working knowledge of contract cycle management and contract language, such as limitation of liability, indemnification and warranty
- Working knowledge of commercial construction insurance
- Working knowledge of construction industry and general practices
- Coordinating contractual reviews with internal and external counsel as needed
- Collaborate with leadership team to focus on continuous improvement and support all business goals
- Lead a contracts team focusing on process improvement and coaching and development
- Assist with other contractual matters as they arise
Requirements
- Paralegal Certificate or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Law, Construction Management or related field
- 5 years experience in contract administration or legal operations
- 1+ years experience with Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe or similar PDF program (preferred)
- 1+ years experience with a CLM or similar software (preferred)
