About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Ensure the quality and reliability of assigned products across UI, APIs, and data
Define test approach and risk coverage with the QA Manager, leveraging AI tools to improve coverage and efficiency
Build, extend, and improve scalable Selenium and Playwright automation frameworks
Review test code, share testing practices, and raise design concerns early
Plan and execute functional, regression, smoke, integration, and end-to-end testing
Design and execute manual and automated test cases covering functionality, performance, reliability, positive, negative, and edge cases
Assess risk and prioritize testing effort against delivery timelines
Map test cases to business requirements and functional designs
Investigate complex or intermittent failures to determine root cause
Document and report defects, verify fixes, and collaborate with development teams on resolution
Write and execute complex SQL queries to validate data integrity, transformations, and business logic
Verify data through ingestion, normalization, and processing workflows
Validate UI/API-triggered database interactions, migrations, schema changes, and backfills
Build and maintain reusable test data sets and database setup/teardown routines
Implement and review Java automation scripts using Selenium WebDriver and Playwright with the Page Object Model
Contribute to automation framework architecture, reusable components, reporting, and test data management
Incorporate database validation into automated suites
Improve automation reliability, execution time, and maintenance cost
Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and support DevOps workflow optimization, including parallel execution
Support performance and scale testing
Use AI tools for test case generation, test data creation, defect analysis, browser interaction, exploratory testing, and script generation
Partner with the QA Manager, developers, and product managers to clarify requirements and acceptance criteria
Support and mentor less experienced QA engineers
Participate in design reviews and technical discussions
Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes, tools, and standards

Requirements

What you’ll need

8+ years in software quality assurance
At least 5 years in test automation
Strong programming skills in Java
Hands-on experience with Selenium WebDriver and Playwright
Experience with design patterns such as the Page Object Model
Experience contributing to the design or significant refactoring of an automation framework
Solid API testing experience
Strong SQL skills and hands-on relational database validation
Working knowledge of CI/CD tooling and version control
Experience running automation reliably within pipelines
Strong analytical and debugging skills with a track record of driving complex issues to root cause
Hands-on experience using AI tools for test case generation, test data creation, and defect analysis
Familiarity with Model Context Protocol tooling, such as Playwright MCP
Experience with AI-assisted coding tools and ability to validate AI output
Preferred: experience in cybersecurity, vulnerability management, or security-focused products
Preferred: familiarity with security concepts including vulnerabilities, risk scoring, APIs, and data protection practices
Preferred: experience with MCP servers or agent-based testing workflows
Preferred: experience testing ETL/data pipelines or large-scale/NoSQL data stores
Preferred: experience with performance/load testing, cloud environments, or containerized test infrastructure
Ability to learn and teach new tools, technologies, and frameworks
