About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Supervise, coordinate and evaluate the purchasing team (4 or more people), promoting talent development, performance evaluation and people management.
  • Prepare, monitor and report monthly performance against targets, including KPIs such as: procurement spend, procurement savings, lead time, active contracts versus spot purchases, expired and expiring contracts, compliance rate and team productivity.
  • Act as the focal point for the procurement and facilities management for internal audit processes, internal controls, PMO and other regulatory bodies, coordinating the analysis of requests, organizing documentation and executing action plans.
  • Implement improvement and training projects, providing support and training to teams on procurement systems, processes and best practices.
  • Qualify suppliers through performance evaluations with participation from requesting teams, analyzing lead times, quality and compliance with agreed conditions.
  • Serve as the procurement management focal point for audits, internal controls, PMO and process reviews, coordinating request analysis, organizing documentation and executing action plans.
  • Participate in procurement and facilities budget planning and control, collaborating on target setting and resource allocation.
  • Ensure that Procurement and Facilities Management operates according to best practices through benchmarking with the market.
  • Ensure that contracting processes are conducted in accordance with company guidelines and policies, ensuring integrity, ethics, transparency and adherence to internal regulations.
  • Maintain the Purchasing policy document up to date, considering process improvements and system updates, ensuring processes reflect approved best practices.
  • Communicate and train teams on updates to rules, procedures and work instructions related to procurement and facilities management.
  • Guide the team on complex processes to ensure the continuous development of buyers as well as alignment of knowledge.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree completed - Business Administration, Computer Science, Economics, Engineering, International Trade, Logistics
  • Postgraduate / MBA: Administration, Supply Chain Management, Business Management or Procurement
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, with emphasis on advanced Excel, and knowledge of BI tools, applied Artificial Intelligence and automation
  • Experience with integrated management systems (ERP), preferably Oracle
  • Proven experience in strategic, high-complexity commercial negotiations
  • Experience with supplier qualification and approval processes
  • Knowledge of financial mathematics applied to negotiations and contract analysis
  • Experience in end-to-end procurement processes, from requisition to contracting
  • Experience in people management and team leadership
  • Ability to define, monitor and analyze KPIs and performance indicators
  • Knowledge of audit and internal controls applied to procurement
  • Experience in compliance management, ensuring adherence to regulations and policies
  • Skill in preparing management presentations and executive reports
  • Ability to conduct benchmarking and market analysis to support decision-making
