About the role
- Analyze business and technical requirements to gain a deep understanding of data flows and business logic
- Contribute to the creation and implementation of the overall Test Strategy and Test Plans, while taking ownership of defining specific test scenarios
- Contribute to test effort estimation and proactively identify risks
- Design, write, and maintain Test Cases to validate data integrity, transformation logic, and the accuracy of reporting outputs
- Cover all aspects of testing, including functional, integration, regression, and End-to-End (E2E)
- Create and manage the test data required to validate complex scenarios
- Rigorously execute testing activities, analyze, and document the results in detail
- Identify, troubleshoot, and document defects in JIRA, providing clear information for the development teams
- Retest corrections to ensure defects are fully resolved
- Coordinate testing activities with internal teams, third-party vendors, and business users (UAT Support)
- Drive adherence to Deutsche Bank's testing standards and promote best practices within the team
- Organize monthly demo sessions to present project status to stakeholders
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of development and testing processes
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in software testing, with a demonstrated focus on data-centric projects
- Solid technical experience with the data lifecycle for reporting
- Strong, hands-on experience testing Oracle Databases
- Verifying data accuracy, consistency, and correctness against business rules
- Testing stored procedures, functions, triggers, and views to ensure they function as expected
- Performing detailed checks to ensure data is transformed and loaded correctly into reporting tables
- Excellent skills in writing complex SQL queries for validation, comparison, and anomaly detection
- Proven experience with Agile methodologies and the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)
- Excellent knowledge of testing techniques (Black Box, White Box, System, Integration, Regression)
- Hands-on experience with test management and defect tracking tools: HP ALM and JIRA
- Excellent communication skills in English (both written and verbal)
- Ability to work effectively under pressure with a pragmatic and delivery-focused attitude
- Excellent teamwork, collaboration, and innovative problem-solving skills
- Customer and service-oriented, with the ability to build effective working relationships with all stakeholders.
