About the role
- Lead and develop the local procurement team in the DACH region across the legal entities, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Manage day-to-day procurement operations, ensuring efficiency, compliance, and value for money.
- Ensure seamless integration of the local procurement function into the European and global procurement organization.
- Implement global sourcing strategies, policies, and standards at the local level.
- Act as a key liaison between local management and the European and Global procurement leadership team.
- Contribute actively to the global harmonization of procurement processes, tools, and IT systems in the DACH region.
- Support digital transformation initiatives in procurement, ensuring alignment with global system architectures and processes.
- Raise synergies at the subregional level across the different legal entities.
- Develop and implement category strategies to achieve cost savings, improve supplier performance, and reduce operational risks.
- Track and report key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure procurement effectiveness and contribution to business success.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to optimize procurement’s contribution to project delivery and profitability.
- Ensure adherence to company policies, ethical standards, and relevant legal and regulatory requirements.
- Promote sustainability, diversity, and risk management in procurement decisions and supplier selection.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- 8+ years of experience in procurement leadership, ideally within an international or IT services environment.
- Proven track record of driving transformation and integration projects across multiple countries or business units.
- Strong understanding of procurement systems and process optimization.
- Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills in both English and German.
- Strategic thinker with hands-on execution capability and a strong results orientation.
