About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Working closely with our Account Directors, Event Services Directors and cross-functional teams, you'll act as the Logistics Lead across multiple global programmes, providing strategic direction while ensuring flawless operational delivery.
- You'll own the logistics function from planning through to onsite execution, balancing commercial performance, operational excellence and outstanding client service.
- Develop and lead logistics strategies across large-scale global event programmes.
- Oversee all logistics workstreams from planning through to delivery.
- Provide strategic advice to clients, ensuring logistics plans support both business objectives and exceptional attendee experiences.
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce operational risk and introduce best practice across logistics operations.
- Lead post-event reviews, analysing performance and driving continuous improvement.
- Lead logistics planning and delivery for complex international events with audiences of 5,000–20,000+ attendees.
- Oversee all logistics workstreams including freight, shipping, transportation, accommodation, inventory management, customs, venue logistics and onsite operations.
- Develop detailed logistics plans, schedules, trackers and contingency plans.
- Coordinate suppliers, venues and operational partners to ensure seamless delivery.
- Collaborate with Production, Technical Production, Sponsorship, Registration, Food & Beverage and Creative teams to deliver integrated event experiences.
- Manage operational risks and implement effective contingency planning throughout programme delivery.
- Build trusted relationships with clients, acting as the senior logistics advisor throughout programme delivery.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Significant experience (10+ years) delivering logistics for large-scale global events.
- Proven experience acting as the Logistics Lead across complex international programmes.
- Extensive experience managing logistics workstreams for events with 5,000–13,000+ attendees.
- Strong financial and commercial acumen, with experience managing budgets of up to $55 million.
- Excellent knowledge of international freight, customs, transportation, accommodation and venue logistics.
- Experience leading cross-functional project teams and managing multiple suppliers.
- Strong stakeholder management and consultancy skills with the confidence to advise senior clients.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple complex programmes simultaneously.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills with confidence using PowerPoint and other business systems.
- A calm, proactive and solutions-focused approach, with the ability to thrive under pressure.
